about the awards

The D&AD Student Awards are now in their 30th year. Their purpose is to highlight the best emerging talent within design, advertising and communications courses around the world and promote it to the creative industries globally. Appearing in the D&AD Student Annual or winning a D&AD Student Yellow Pencil is widely regarded as one of the best ways to kick-start your career within the creative industries.
In 2007, 42 different nations participated in the competition from countries including Finland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, South Africa, Brazil, Honduras, New Zealand, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Italy, China, France, Germany, Spain, Israel, UK and USA.
As a student at the University of Brighton studying a BA (Hons) in Digital Media Design, I chose to create a response to the photography brief as my entry to the 2008 D&AD Student Awards. I received an In Book Award for my entry. Have a look and see what you think of my work, and be sure to contact me if you would like any further information, or to request permission to use the images which I have created. Thanks for visiting my D&AD website. Please also take a look at my other work which can be viewed at lucyirving.com.
